Artist Statement

Behroo Bagheri is a visual artist working across painting, jewellery making, and three-dimensional objects. Painting is her primary medium, while jewellery making extends the same artistic process into tangible forms, where ideas are realized through wearable pieces. Drawing on traditional goldsmithing techniques, she brings craftsmanship into dialogue with a contemporary artistic language.

Behroo is born in Iran, she received her art education in the United States and later returned to her country, where she continues to live and work. Before pursuing art, she studied law. This background, together with her lived experience and interdisciplinary perspective, has contributed to the development of her creative journey.

In her painting and jewelry making, she makes use of the unique possibilities of each medium to develop her own visual language. Her work is presented in separate series, each exploring a distinct body of ideas.
